I bought a new MLC and yes, the material isn't as durable as it once was. One thing that I always take comfort in is that Patagonia's warranty is flat out amazing and they have a retail shop here in Denver should I ever need to warranty it. Everytime I've had a problem it's no questions asked via phone or face to face.

The upside is that the new material is lighter. I have a OneBag from 2005 that is bomb proof but heavy by today's standards.
