I've read most of this thread (yes, I know, slow day ) and there is one item that hasn't really been addressed. If I book two rooms, the resort will apply a fee to both rooms. Assuming that I'm dealing with a resort that wants to play ball in the first place, and offers some sort of alternative amenity or resort fee reduction / waiver, what is SPG's official policy on the resort fee assessed on the second room? Both rooms would be in my name and paid by me.
