Hi all,

I currently have a trip booked IND-ORD-NRT on 24May with a return the reverse route on 27May. The ticket is all on 016, but the return NRT-ORD segment is operated by ANA (UA9682). My understanding is that all mileage will count toward 2015 status, but the ANA segment will not count toward lifetime miles (i.e., my million mile goal).

Assuming I have this right, are there any gotchas to be concerned about in trying to SDC the return flight onto something operated by United? In case it matters, I don't care for ANA flights anyway, the seats are too hard for my taste.
