That's a possibility, but probably not for many flights. The point of eliminating the ER3s and ERDs is lowering per-seat cost. Some ERD flights will be upgaugaed to 50-seat ER4 or CR2 equipment; some to 65-seat CR7s; and some flights/routes losing frequency or eliminated if AA thinks larger aircraft will trash per-seat pricing.
