Agent is telling me all the "alone" seats are reserved for Air Canada elite members only. They said they'll open them up for seating to non elite 24 hours in advance of flight.

This is for the new International Business Class / Studio Pod (their site is very confusing so I think I have the name right sorry)

Seating in row 2 is 1 x 2 x 1, I'm trying to get one of the 1's

Anyone know a way around this to get seated in one of the alone seats in advance?
