There's a rather well known cheapo TP generator on your doorstep: SFO-LAX-LAS, alternatively SFO-PHX-LAS, and return, all in First. Using AA and/or US. It has to be that set-up, LAS to LAX alone is more expensive. But it generates 120 TPs for £161 / USD 272 and is relatively painless to do. I think it needs to be booked 3 weeks in advance. You also need 2 BA metal or codeshares for Bronze and 4 for Silver and higher. Various other combinations exist, e.g. LAS-PHX-SLC, 120 TPs for £174.
