Very useful references and "buyer beware." This is one of the reasons I want a two-wheeler with recessed wheels. All 68 comments about LHR restrictions on Trip Advisor are from 2008. Do we have more recent data, even if anecdotal?

And, am going to scour the United Mileage Plus board here on FT to see how the new policy is being enforced. I know it is early days, but "do not expect any exceptions even in Business Class?" Not to start a "Perhaps you don't know who I am" rant, but I am a Million Miler with United and have the medallion to prove it. A 22" rollaboard will hold enough to get me through a 5-day work week (hotel laundry service may apply ) and I do not check luggage if I can absolutely help it. And, I am not about to drop down to a 20" to keep some bean counter happy.

As I said, I will be checking the UA board, but if anyone wants to point me to threads on the results of the recent policy, I would be grateful. Ditto on Trip Advisor, Points Guy, or other air travel board. Thanks!
