Well folks all I can say is that even before I fly my first impressions are poor. i expected a lot more from a full service airline...even in Economy. And although Cyprus Airways were/are in trouble they provide a better service and virtually the same ticket price! As said above 5hrs from getting on to getting off and a wrap served as your evening meal on the return leg is rubbish....lets hope you get a bag of peanuts with your drink! lol. Cyprus Airways are in an awful state financially. Yes, it would be lovely to give everyone a free hot meal on band 4, but the business case just isn't there at LGW. The world of shorthaul making money for BA is a tricky environment, but folk don't seem to see the bigger picture, and just think about how it used to be 20 years ago
May I suggest you compare CY to it's actual equivalent, our 767 LHR to LCA operation, which I believe still serves a hot meal to all pax, and offers free IFE.
