When comments were made about the FA not policing the storage space they blamed it on the size of the C pax carry on instead.
- The FA entered with newspapers...and put them in the overhead bin. Did not offer them to anybody. Not that I wanted one, but I found it to be very peculiar.
- The food was bad. I had the chicken with rice and green curry. The chicken was of the lowest quality (basically pieces of fat only, inedible) and the rice was tough/dry like popcorn on the top, too soft (like desert rice) at the bottom of the dish. Salad lacked any kind of dressing.
Presentation was fine.
- Candy service was started in at the back of the aircraft, when they reached the front all nice items were gone (Tux crackers and gum was left)
Oh well, I guess that in the end it still was better than my original Economy seat at 6C. But I am surprised that almost every time I fly KLM C something major is off - either service or food is bad, or in other cases they did not load enough dinners for all C pax.
Sounds very average indeed. Still, well done on the upgrade and at least you avoided the not-so-unusual: "Sir, sorry, I know you have been upgraded - unfortunately we don't have any business class meal for you so I'll need to bring you a sandwich from economy but of course you can have the C drinks!"
