Hi,

Had an international connection in SFO.

Gave myself 1 hour and 35 minutes which is plenty of time to get from terminal 3 to the Interntational terminal.

My inbound flight is delayed 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes. Go to the gate agent, ask to be backed up. Answer is "no". 40 minutes late, 50 minutes late. Go back to agent, asked to be backed up, again the answer is "no".

Then 60, 70 minutes late and the flight is boarding. I asked whilst boarding can I be backed up since 25 minutes is really pushing it to do the connection. Was told, just see the GA in SFO if you miss it!

So I run like crazy, knock over a few people and make it 6 minutes before the door closes all while hobbling on my rolled ankle due to having to climb some stairs quickly.

Shouldn't the gate agent have backed me up on a later flight? Or is it now, you try to make the connection and only if you miss it will they back you up. I know a few people who didn't make it. I'm fairly young so ran from terminal 3 to G in 6 minutes and I know the way very well.
