It seems to be a common experience in the US to have to battle through the hoards of folk blocking up access to the gate you've just been called forward to. Had the very same experience in DFW yesterday. Same thing at JFK a few weeks back.

I am sure that with your silver status you will have been aware of the situation yourself. What do you do?
