I can, actually.
When flying CX F (NRT-HKG) with a cabin containing three people: myself, my girlfriend, and an extremely ancient businessman who asked for almost nothing from the crew and seemed to spend most of the flight asleep, I was told that I could not have the kaiseki meal because another passenger had already chosen it. Only one was available.
Fortunately the girlfriend, who had chosen it, is a lovely person and let me have it and changed to something else. Good thing for her in the end, since she was allergic to several ingredients in it
It's the only occasion (out of several CX F flights) where I have ever been told I couldn't have something I asked for.
The service was, as one might expect with a ratio of more than one highly competent and organised FA to each awake passenger, was amazingly good.
