The fact that they called over and accepted the logic is impressive. TSA doesn't tend to accept common sense when machines are blaring. (Not to mention your quick thinking).
It was a rare and fleeting moment of logic for TSA, it did help that I was telling them to call the seattle police which contributed some credibility.
