It is not true to say that nobody likes the current structure (2MM), I appreciate the gift that you have allowed me to pass on to someone important to me. That doesn't mean I am opposed to options. Having said that; if I do my friend a favor and he thanks me with a gift certificate at Starbucks, I would never tell him I would prefer a gift from Tim's.
There are many reasons why we introduced our MM program. Many of you gave us input on how to structure the benefit and the driving theme was to design a program that would continue offering a base set of privileges and benefits to very frequent/loyal flyers once they either retired or reduced their travel patterns.
