I must confess I haven't flown out of LAX in years, and it's been many more years than that since I've flown DL out of LAX, but I have an award ticket booked for a Virgin Australia trip next year so this thread caught my attention ...

Why on earth is the MCT at LAX 70 minutes domestic-domestic?
