The Global Entry kiosks are now before you even get to immigration. Then there is a clear exit to one queue where your receipt is checked. That's not much more than a hello and a stamp.

In customs there is now a unique Global Entry lane to a shared customs agent with line 4. But you get called first if there's 100 people in line 4. Which there will be.

If you're connecting you go to a connection security area vs. outside the secure area which is going to be faster than entering the terminal. The handle priority access or pre check comme ci comme ca so don't expect a speed gain there though the time before last the ID checker marked my BP with an orange marker and said not to take off my shoes or take out my laptop so I guess that's pre check.

The last arrival I had there was a week ago Thursday and from the door opening and in seat 3, first row, I was out of the formalities, though I have no checked luggage, in 27 minutes at a 5:00 PM arrival.

If you have luggage, after waiting the usual 45 minutes to see it arrive, you take it towards the in transit security and just before that you'll drop it. It will be obvious.
