We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived Sunday evening (car service arranged through the Fairmont) through our departure Wednesday, we were very happy with our stay.

Location: Great. We did not have a car, so either walked or borrowed the Fairmont bicycles to get around. Highlights of the location:

Strip District We really liked this area - about a 15 or 20 minute walk from the hotel.

Warhol Museum

PNC Park (and Heinz Field next door)

Duquesne Incline

Riverfront walking / biking paths. We went for a 20+ mile ride along the Monongahela river and the path went much further beyond our ride.

The hotel and staff were wonderful as well.

Although the FPC Plat line was not able to secure me a suite upgrade (certificate), I contacted the hotel directly and they did allow the upgrade to a spacious 2 room, 2 full bath suite with views out over the Allegheny River and PNC park itself from the living room and bedroom windows.

Master Bedroom very large, with a nice (and big) walk in closet. Master Bath also large and well appointed, with a walk in shower and a separate large soaking tub. Two sinks, the usual Le Labo toiletries. Second bathroom only a walk in shower and a single sink, but still nice sized.

Living Room area was also large and nicely set up with a long, comfortable couch, and nice desk area with lots of plugs, a dining table with seating for four, and a very large screen TV with a Bose surround sound system. Kuerig coffee maker as well as a separate kettle to boil hot water for tea.

As mentioned above, a highlight of our stay was the bicycles for loan. Very nice 'BMW' bikes, solidly built and well maintained. A selection of helmets to borrow, as well as bike locks. Only two bikes, but during our stay I think we were the only ones to use them.

We ate one breakfast at Habitat, and had drinks and snacks late one night at Andy's off the lobby. Both high quality and tasty food, good drinks, with friendly and quick service.

The workout area was very nice with a variety of equipment in good condition. The locker rooms are very nice, with both a Steam Room and a Sauna in both the Men's and Women's locker rooms.

We did a massage one day and we were both very happy with our masseuse's and the service.

Front desk, bell staff, and concierge all very friendly and helpful.

By the concierge is where the hotel dog, Edie, hangs out during the day too. A friendly dog as you can imagine, but since she had a hurt paw we were not able to take her for a walk.

It was a very easy and enjoyable walk to PNC park. They close the 6th Street bridge a few hours before the game which makes it even more pleasant.

The ballpark itself is great! We sat right behind the Giants dugout (10 rows up) for one game, up in the Club Level for the second game, and in the bleachers for the third game.

Great sight lines, a very well built and attractive ballpark!

On the Club Level they even have a few pool tables so we got there early that day to play a quick game.

Overall, a great first visit to Pittsburgh. We really liked the Fairmont, the places we visited and saw, and really, the overall 'vibe' of Pittsburgh.
