I thought when you said C to A you were in the arrivals tunnel. The walkways move the expected direction most people will be going, so in departures A-C and vice versa for arrivals.
Ah, no, I was initially told C gates (at check-in, hours too early) but we ended up being A10ed - hence needing to get back from C to A against the moving walkways
