On UA I hear them call uniformed military almost every single time boarding, they call it as policy the same way they call GS.
AA and DL I've personally found to be more varied as to whether or not they call it.
This post matches my experiences with these three airlines.
BTW, I am active duty and have never taken advantage of this "perk."
ETA: Heard it on one of my DL flights last week and was somewhat surprised by it. I think it was BWI which is a hub for AMC flights with passengers often connecting to commercial.
