Again, I don't know about Korea, but for most people from Western countries, a tourist visa gives you 90 days in Japan. If your home country has a visa waiver agreement with Japan, you are automatically given a 90-day tourist visa stamp at the airport. (I think it's longer if you have UK citizenship.)
