1. Benefits of IHG Platinum are only conferred if account owner occupies room. so should not apply to wife, family, friends etc.
2. Points and bonuses do not apply unless account owner occupies room. so you should not earn points or qual nights if your partner stays on your account.
With same surname it is harder for IHG to pick up, but earlier this year several accounts were cancelled for things like one partner staying on others account.
Thanks...I would assume this is probably the same for most (or all) travel programs? Does IHC allow transfer of points between accounts?
