There you go then! You go to BKK at the moment because HKG is more expensive. But would you move even more nights from HKG to BKK if Bangkok hotels were even less expensive relative to HKG?

If hotels started a price war, in the end their slice of the cake would remain more or less the same (relative to their competitors). With one difference: The cake itself would be significantly smaller.
