I suppose it all balances out. I have no problems using Avios for my routes. With a little flexibility I can always find seats. The problem is I never have enough Avios, as I can't earn from Tesco or credit cards, mostly just flights. People who live in the UK can earn millions of Avios shopping, but can't use them... That's life.
