I personally divide products into two categories, ones that use chemicals such as Sodium Laurel Sulphate, and mask the chemical smells with fragrances, and those which use natural ingredients.
The ones that use the chemicals are primarily different in the quality of the fragrance (and even then -- I am personally not impressed with artificial fragrances), but that's what makes Ferragamo shampoo "better" than the supermarket brand.
Then there are products that use natural ingredients to do their thing -- think brands like Aveda, and Aesop. Tara Smith is basically in this category.
I prefer staying in Conrad's when I travel because of the Tara Smith option.
