I don't mind giving OV the $0.12 extra profit. And I don't bother with pennies anyway.

My story goes like this; I get to the counter, Good ____ , I would like 2 money orders for $1000 each, when its all on the screen, I hand over the cash (or coins) and ask that it be deducted , which it always is then I say I need to swipe my DC _ times since my bank limits my withdrawls to $500 max per swipe
Now I usually do 1 MO at a time least something go wrong I have 4 swipes to get the $1k done, then its rinse and repeat. If Im using a real DC then I hand over teh cash(coins) and do 1 swipe for whatever the amount is
The reason I want $1k MOs is my bank doesnt look at it funny, as they know people owe me $$$ and this is how they pay me, handing over all different amounts all ending say in .30 , I dont think most folks will pay someone that way unless thats the exact amount they owed, but then how to explain so many MOs ending the same way. $500/$1000 just works better. Whens the last time you made a deposit to any acct w/o using any checks and deposited say $499.30 or $999.30. Most folks would deposit an even amount w/o the coins.
Could be if I went to numerous places for the MOs and they each had different fees then I wouldnt mind it, but since 99.999% of my MOs are Wallys Id rather deposit an even amount w/o any cents. But as they say every person should do what works for them, there is no right way or wrong way
