Is it possible that some advanced users skilled in mobile computing/IT skills can do it with workarounds but don't expect that to get posted or circulated on these public forum, or it will be promptly noticed & loopholes shut down.
The "data only" combi-Sim or the nano-Sim are regularly priced @ $10 online with activation built-in and often just 99 cents with free shipping - occassionally given away FREE with free shipping. Just check back with the prepaid t-mo sites often for specials.
Do you know if TMobile has a rule against allowing phones on data only plans? In that case, I wouldn't bother switching SIMs between a tablet and phone. I'm going to stop by a store tomorrow to check anyways.
