Travelled on Air Asia X on the A330 in Premium or J.

It is a small 1 seat cabin, 2 rows of 2 2 2 .

Its a capsule seat, plenty of room between the rows and the seat goes fully flat. Great pillows and doonas.

We left KUL at midnight, no lounge access but you can buy access, got a 300 ml bottle of water. Our fare included a meal, so we got asked if we wanted it now or for breakfast. We said breakfast. You can book a Samsung tablet for entertainment, we had our ipads so we were happy with those.

The crew closed down the cabin pretty quickly - we had a great sleep about 6 hours, and woke to our breakfast, got another 300 ml bottle of water and a dish of chicken lasagne.

It was yummy but not quite a breakfast meal, but our choice to eat it prior to arrival.

Knowing what I know now - I will fly D7 again - just be more prepared with either prepaid food or bringing something extra on board.

KUL SYD - was $750 AUD so $1500 return - on a full service airline about $4000 AUD.

Great staff - and the J seats are great. No points etc but cannot beat it for the price.

We also flew Scoot that trip - in J - never again - its a very poor PE experience.
