I reckon you'll still get status miles.

What level of Tier Miles will I earn?
The Tier Miles earning structure will not change. You will still earn the full Tier Miles as per the flown distance of the origin and destination of the given sector.

However, I'd still contact Etihad Guest and get a written confirmation.
