Btw i wouldnt mind this sort of busses as conpared to the walk to gate 31 in HKIA. If im in for a transit in PT that is. (And heck at least they have kids facilities- look at CX?)

I believe cx only wins on soft service- until you can fly forwards again. For some, cx's seat win too. But thats probably it... Since whichever lounge u can use on cx u can use on qr too but not the other way round (and in Lhr but qr defo has the better one)
CX wins on both hardware and soft service
As for catering this is personal choice. Some people like hallal meat some people don't. Schedule wise for hkg-LHR CX wins for sure that's why QR have to always have these 241 companion deals.

For example indont really see CX have to undercut much to CI or BR ex tpe even the other airlines offer non stop service
Its not cx charging more- its the market itself being more sustainable to high prices. BA and VS also charge comparable prices. And savvy travellers ticket ex tpe.
