Can you please explain? I didnt see them 'back off' when Virgin America started EWR-LAX/SFO. What did UA do when VX started SFO? Added 2 additional mainline flights SFO-AUS. Oh, and what did UA do when DL added all that SFO-SEA capacity? Wow- they added 2 daily mainline flights SFO-ATL.
That was anything but 'backing off'. I'd say check your facts before making ridiculous statements.
