NY Giants: Last week I took SAS LHR-EWR and back (with a stop in CPH one way and ARN the other) as it was by far the cheapest deal. You get what you pay for.
The SAS seats are angled (not flat like UA) and service, while friendly, was very rustic (in that Scandinavian way) and without a hint of luxury. And it was obviously a big detour time-wise.
But the worst aspect was probably the European short hall business class legs. They didn't even block the middle seats (so the seat experience was the same as in coach) and the meal service consisted of being offered a snack box (the one kind they had left) that is sold in the back. Plastic cups and cutlery. Wow, a far cry from what SAS used to be.
I would not do it again unless I am desperate.
