The Stockholm deal was both SAS and United. My understanding is SAS Business is a much better J product vs UA. However in the interest of PQD accrual, booking UA may make more sense
$2500 is a good price, particularly given that economy fares have been in the $1700 range lately. Unlikely to go any lower this summer (UA did offer $1400 fares earlier this year, but that was unheard of and lasted only a couple of days).
You have it exactly backwards. UA business class is superior to SAS. SAS seats are not lie-flat and get generally poor reviews. UA's long-haul fleet is 100% lie-flats. While the UA business class cabin can be a bit crowded, the seats are comfortable.
