Minimum Connection Transfer Time at Atlanta (ATL): The Definitive Thread

Welcome!

You should be perfectly fine with an hour+ connection time, particularly since you'll have already found your way through the ATL airport on your outbound flights. There are pretty clear signs and DL info monitors everywhere in ATL, and if you need to get pointed in the right direction, don't hesitate to ask a DL employee for help. There is usually a greeter waiting right when you get off the plane who is there for just those types of questions.

If your MIA-ATL flight is delayed enough to where you miss your connection, DL should automatically place you on the next flight to CAE (it sounds like you're not on the last one of the day). In the event that happens, just head to any of the "Need Help?" stations in ATL and they'll set you up with a new boarding pass and directions to the new gate. If you'd rather not wait in line and are feeling more confident in finding your own way, you can also just scan any of your boarding passes in one of the self-service kiosks to get your new ones.
