A few flights back, seated in row 7, I patiently waited for the first drink cart to complete and got up to use the bathroom in back. Of course many others had the same idea, so the wait was about 10 minutes. By the time I had finished the next cart was out and already around row 10. The attendant, recognizing I needed her to back up to get to my seat, rolled her eyes and said "sir, you know there is a lavatory up front?". Point being, the current lav configuration is a no win situation for those in front, in back, flight attendants, etc...

As someone who occasionally sits in front (although my upgrade rate so far is only about 25-30%), I have some sympathy for those in the first several rows of the cheap seats.
