KLM Plat/Gold not allowed into lounge when flying delta us?

Not sure about it... I have always been granted access to the Delta SkyClub every time I was flying coast-to-coast (JFK-LAX or JFK-SFO) First Class (Domestic Business Class).

And I am pretty sure it is not linked to my SkyTeam Elite Plus status because I was downgraded to Silver last year.

Maybe there is an exception for trans-coastal flights.
