Just reserved my seat for my flight back from Rome next week. I am in 4c which it says is a rear facing aisle seat. The seat map indicates a long haul aircraft and they are using WTP as Club Europe too. Will the IFE system be available?
We are not allowed to use the inflight entertainment on these routes even though it is on the aircraft when a long-haul aircraft is used.
The only short haul routes where we are allowed to use the system is Athens, Istanbul and Larnaca.
It is apparently due to broadcast rights and we only pay these for the long-haul and mid-haul network.
You might from time to time find a short haul crew that mistakenly turns the system on but we are repeatedly reminded that we should not be doing so.
