I talked to my friend at work and the only thing he was concerned about is the Date of Birth. As long as the name matches exactly with the frequent flyer account, would the miles post?

My friend at work thought I could just try and get credit for the flight afterwards. However, I think it'd be better to just enter my frequent flyer number at the time of booking. Better to have a computer add the miles than a human.
