You are not sharing a SM account. Instead, both of you are using a Delta branded credit card with one account number. Totally different than what you were saying before.
The miles earned on the card go to one account. In this case, that's you. Nothing is 'transferred' because you are the account holder. And nothing wrong with this, done all the time.
