When you say "ticket" be sure to have a copy of the receipt (I print out the email) with the ticket number as well as a copy of your itinerary showing confirmed reservations on your flights. You should also have a copy of your hotel reservation confirmation in case the Chinese authorities ask where you are staying (as you must stay in the Beijing area). If you can find something official from a Chinese consulate website (unfortunately most are woefully out of date on this) stating the rules, this might be useful if you must convince a GA to let you board the flight.
I haven't had a problem or been asked for my hotel conf, but I think the challenging part of this is with your inbound ticket counter agents. a print out of the rules could be helpful for them...I would allow extra checkin time in case your agent(s) have to go up the ladder for clarification/approval.
