In the last two weeks, i had two segments with the upgrade requests disappearing. it's mind boggling because under my trip both were still showing as requested. One sement is a normal trip with no changes at all. The other is on a rerouted return, but i went in and requested after the change.

Since aa does not expose the upgrade waitlist until 4 hours prior to departure, one won't know until then and is typically hosed by then.

Has anyone had similar experiences?
