Is the first row behind Economy Comfort a bad idea?

On a flight from JFK-LAX (763), the only available two-seat options are in row 20, a no-recline exit row next to the lav, or row 18, the first regular Economy row (row 17 is EC).

If I book row 18, will I face the potential of the person in row 17 basically sitting in my lap? Since row 17 assumedly has the extra recline but row 18 doesn't get the extra leg room, how bad would it be?

Thanks! (P.S. tried searching through the myriad EC posts here but didn't see this issue specifically addressed)

EDIT: Nevermind; found a thread where this was discussed. Mods, feel free to delete/merge
