Thank you - thats very interesting - I don't usually check-in early enough to get the first row, but this time it was staring me in the face! sounds like there might have been an equipment chance in this instance - since there was no B seat on the diagram at about T-27hrs.

Perhaps I'll revert to accepting any aisle seat near the front of the cabin and forget, as you describe it, the curtain twitching!!
