It really just depends how paranoid you want to be. I would be perfectly comfortable putting credit card and passport scans in my dropbox account. What are the odds that a random Dropbox employee will decide to look at your account? What are the odds that, if that happens, they will try to do something nefarious? What's the worst that happens? You'll be inconvenienced while they send you a new credit card. Meh.
I guess one could also say, "what are the odds" that they allow anyone to login to any account with any password again, or randomly expose links to documents that anyone can click on and can access.
Yeah, those type of events probably won't happen AGAIN with dropbox. They've probably fixed them from the first time around.
