I'm confused about the first row of ET (on the AC side)
Apologies if this is a stupid question, but I don't understand what happened here!

Travelled LHR-BCN today... checked in and bagged 8A on a nice new-looking A320. It was the first row of ET. Couldn't believe my luck at scoring this one... looking forward to no middle seat-mate fighting for elbow room.

Then, shock! There were 3 of us in this row!
So, my question is: have the AC seats in the first row of ET lost their magic for some reason or was I unlucky??
