And Fisch, nobody is saying CB didn't have the right to start up WJ, or challenge the status quo. Its just your boss is an insufferable blowhard who gives no credit to anyone else for this master stroke of copying someone else's business plan.

My challenge to Clive is, if he is such a genius, is go take a hand at running AA or UA or even AC, and see what the real players have to deal with, before flippantly braying like a stallion at the Calgary Stampede.

Why would Mr. Beddoe need to give others credit? It was just an interview - not the Academy Awards. Should he have said, "I'd like to give credit of WestJet's success to the AC acquisition of CP, AC CCAA, the hard working employees of WS, my family, blah, blah, blah."? Should he just go around and thank everybody else for WestJet's success?

Why would Mr. Beddoe want to run AC, AA, or UA? He's made it clear that he thinks that the full service model doesn't work.

And while Mr. Beddoe may not give anyone else credit for WS' success, it's just like Mr. Milton not taking any credit for AC's failures. 9/11, SARS, Iraq War, weak economy, blah, blah - never incompetence or mismanagement.
