A moment's pause for contemplation should tell you that the only rail connections out of Heathrow are in a North-Easterly direction. Some of us do not live in central London. Quite a lot of us, in fact. I live 26 miles South-East of Heathrow. I am committed to public transport options where they exist, and have chosen to live a short walk from a train station for that reason, but I would need to connect on two trains and one bus to get to Heathrow.
