Don't think UA Insider announced/mentioned on FT but it was in a regular monthly (Oct 2013) notice from MileagePlus on the lounge drink changes
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ct-2013-a.html

Suspect as discussed in multiple threads -- including the above
and http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ition-etc.html
and http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...clubs-ord.html
and ....

There has been no further hint of this (except one report a UC may have done this for a period of time - beta test?). Other points
- The issue of multiple personal devices
- Were poachers really the issue? versus streaming video by members
- Cost to doing authentication

Yes this was announced but for now it is a dead issue and no really needing yet another thread.
