The aircraft Jazz calls a CRJ-705 is referred to by most other carriers as a CRJ-900. Jazz uses the -705 designation because they equip it with fewer seats than possible in order to sneak in under the scope clause limit.
The 705 also has additional cargo volume, since it is a CRJ-900 with the seating capacity of a CRJ-700 the extra space was used for cargo.
The 705 order was a split order with Embraer along with the 175's & 190's
