May or may not be solved... DL has historically bad integration with AF systems. If you pull your reservation on airfrance.us, do you see your seat assignment?

That said, IME AF blocks a very large portion of the cabin for elites or seat assignment at check-in. Every time I've flown W, there have been several open seats at check-in (though in every case the cabin went out full or almost full).
