So got an invitation to apply in the mail.

40k points. I did this in 2010 I believe for 50k points then. Canceled before the first year membership came up.

Or maybe I did pay membership because the points could be redeemed for more than the AF.

Questions for those who applied recently or use the card:

1. Which airlines can you transfer points to miles?

2. They say you can redeem points directly for tickets. But it appears you can't see what the redemption values are until you have the card? I searched and it just shows dollar amounts.

3. I mostly fly international, for leisure. So I get into the United Clubs (their lowest end lounges I believe) and have been in Swiss Air and LH lounges.

Does the Amex Plat get you into more posh lounges or something?

4. Can you churn? Like I said, pretty sure it's been about 4 years. I believe I transferred the points to CO account, right before CO and UA accounts merged.
